The “refreshment” of this modern home started with a first-floor renovation for a more family-friendly, contemporary, urban-chic lifestyle. Existing custom-built, white bookshelves were given a cool, contrasting color makeover to better showcase treasured objects and collectables. A large cowhide ottoman was added to the TV/family room for a splash of playfulness — and popular lounging spot for the kids. 

A custom-designed bar was created as an entertainment focal point and division between the living and dining rooms, without blocking the line of site from one end of the home to the other. New life was breathed into the kitchen with a more modern tile backsplash and comfortable goldenrod performance velvet stools for the island.

Unique wallpaper was placed throughout the home to add a pop of color, visual impact and sophistication to reflect the personal style of the owners. A darker, moody hallway is lined with a graphic wallpaper and opens up to a lofty bedroom – creating a dramatic yet cozy primary suite.
